The Author
Ian McNulty is a New Orleans-based journalist and radio commentator.
His previous book Season of Night is a narrative about the surreal, tenuous first months of life in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
He is a columnist for the New Orleans news weekly Gambit and the monthly New Orleans Magazine, and he writes for many other publications and Web sites. His radio program Where Y’Eat is a weekly commentary on food culture that is broadcast on National Public Radio (NPR) in New Orleans. He also writes and hosts the weekly Community Impact Series radio program on the local NPR affiliate, which covers nonprofits making a difference in the region.
He resides in the Mid-City neighborhood of New Orleans, his home base for ongoing rambles around Louisiana and elsewhere.
